It has been great experience to walk in between our treasure of heart- The Rich Indian culture & collection. which presents richness of art, heritage, timeless crafts. so we are great-full to Dr.vikram sarabhai family & calico to keep heritage alive for our future generations to cherish & be proud of.also the most inspiring thing is that before some era, probably more than 200 years back ,when people did not have much options of machinery yet they created all extreme range of intimate paintings of krishna,no of fabrics, well designed blocks, garment like angrakha, paithni, pashmina shawl specially from kashmir and many more..salute to calico team,as they are trying hard to maintain it.
Visited calico with our textile expert.she have worked with calico for more than 20 year & our manish sir have always tried to connect all the part of calico with fashion,so...accordingly with the help of both we gained great knowledge.
During our visit I went in a dreamy world. when we saw dancing peacock in the garden, colorful detailed terrace, big zarukhas, amazing water pool with little fishes ,lobbies covered with lighting, classy vintage lanterns.(If there is chance to buy those items I wouldn't think for a second to add them in to my lantern collection)
This time my mind was extremely alert because i had to click all the images in my mind ,sorry to say you guys but calico team does not allow to bring camera inside the museum.they want that people actually come there & feel the culture of India, just not capture it in images.
I want to suggest all the designers interestedin Indian heritage,to surely visit calico once in their lifetime.
